Jennifer Brock “doesn’t do” carnations at Just Add Water. Instead, Brock, co-owner of the upscale floral shop, imports flowers from around the world to design her nontraditional floral arrangements. Brock said this helps set her business apart from other florists and gives it an almost avant garde feel.

The 13,000-SF shop caters to a corporate audience, providing merchandise from brands such as Crabtree & Evelyn, Good Witch’s Brew spa line, Pacifica candles and Bathtime Bundles. Other services include floral design for corporate occasions.

Confident in her products and backed by 13 years of experience, Brock said she’d like to see the business gross $400,000 by the end of its first year. Just Add Water employs three people, and Brock is unsure of whether more will be added, mostly because she enjoys doing the majority of work herself.

With a prices ranging from $30 to $1,000, Brock said she has something for everyone — whether it’s corporate- or banquet-related, or simply a husband wanting to tell his wife how much he cares.
