Pixelbenders LLC, a multimedia graphics, Web and illustration design firm in Rogers, debuted its own Web site on May 25. It features a honeycomb motif that Justin Williams, Pixelbenders’ vice president and co-founder, said the firm chose after months of design research.
“We wanted the site to display all of our services in a much cleaner look than what a lot of advertising firms and design agencies have,” Williams said. “We did a lot of research nationally, noting things that we liked and didn’t.
“The main thing was information flow. We wanted to have everything only a couple of clicks away.”
In the last five days of May alone, the new site recorded about 9,000 hits.
Pixelbenders is a two-time Golden Web Award winner, an honor bestowed quarterly by the 230,000-member International Association of Web Masters and Designers.
Pixelbenders, founded in 1999, also designed the new Web site for Lighting Emporium in Springdale. The Flash 5.0/HTML hybrid site is driven by a MySQL database and features an extensive online catalog and soon-to-follow e-commerce capabilities. Lighting Emporium’s site, which took six months to develop, debuts June 10 at www.lightingemporium.com.
