Delta Systems 1Q Sales Jump 31 Percent

First-quarter sales for automation and motion control leader Delta Systems Inc. of Rogers were $1.98 million, up 31 percent from $1.51 million for 2001’s first quarter.

Delta, traded on the Canadian Venture Exchange as “DLT.S,” reported all figures in U.S. dollars for this quarter ended March 31.

The company also recorded an $809,433 gross profit for 2002’s first frame, a 67 percent leap from $484,851 during 2001’s comparable quarter. Its net loss was $654,818, or 4 cents per share — 5 percent lower than 691,967, or 6 cents per share, a year ago.

The company’s order bookings increased to approximately $2.9 million in the first quarter of 2002, which represents sequential order growth of about 20 percent versus the $2.4 million booked in the fourth quarter of 2001.
