Shiloh Shies Away From School Buyout

There apparently won’t be a buyout of Immanuel Christian Academy in Rogers by Shiloh Christian School in Springdale.

The deal that we’ve been hearing was in the works has been nixed because Shiloh officials decided the timing simply wasn’t right. The deal would have made Immanuel, a nonprofit ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers, a satellite campus of Shiloh.

Shiloh, which is the area’s largest private school with an enrollment of more than 700, is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Springdale.

Bruce Perkins, Shiloh’s CEO, said the school is still open to pursuing other options but nothing formal is on the table at this time.
