Pace to Receive Award from Education Foundation

At its first annual “Spring Celebration of Excellence,” which is scheduled for May 6, the Fayetteville Education Foundation plans to present its first “Apple Award” to Pace Industries Inc. of Fayetteville in recognition years of support from the company.

Treva Hamilton, director of the foundation, said the award and “celebration” will be an annual event starting this year.

Pace is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leggett and Platt Inc. with annual sales of more than $4.5 billion. The management of Pace also serves as management to the Leggett & Platt Aluminum Group, a $500 million segment of Leggett & Platt.

Leggett & Platt makes a variety of products, including residential furniture, office furniture and store fixtures and shelving. Pace also provides the cast products including aluminum, zinc and magnesium.

The Pace office in Fayetteville is corporate office to the Leggett & Platt Aluminum Group and employs approximately 65 people.

Pace and its employees are proud of the work done by the Fayetteville Education Foundation and are pleased to support its programs through the years.
