Joe Fennel, the owner of Jose Inc., recently changed the menu at Jose’s Mexican Restaurant, the epicenter of Fayetteville’s Dickson Street entertainment district.

Juan Barcenas, an El Salvadorian native and executive chef at Bordino’s, developed the new menu, which includes Latin-inspired fresh-cut steak, fish and seafood dishes in addition to the restaurant’s traditional Mexican menu.

Bordino’s, which is owned by Fennel and located in the same building as Jose’s, serves northern Italian cuisine. Jose Inc. (including Bordino’s) has ranked as Fayetteville’s No. 2 restaurant in gross sales for the past several years.

New items featured on the menu include seafood chimichangas ($6.79), grilled salmon ($13.50), fresh poblano pepper rellanos ($8.59), and steak and poblano ($15.59) — a 10 oz. Sterling Silver brand ribeye with a fresh stuffed poblano pepper and achiote sauce.
