Firms Try to Avoid This Man

No one in Northwest Arkansas wants to have to call Mark Myers, but as he put it, “When you need me, you really need me.”

Myers formerly served as a political consultant. He worked on Asa Hutchinson’s successful 1996 Congressional campaign and, most recently, Jim Hendren’s run for Hutchinson’s vacated seat. Myers said his experience in politics prepared him to open a public relations firm that offers crisis communication.

“In politics, you live from crisis to crisis,” Myers said.

His Fort Smith-headquartered firm, Myers Global Media Group, assists company P.R. directors in extreme situations, such as plant accidents, Enron-esque financial blunders, or even office shootings.
