Thompson Resigns from ThompsonMurray

Mike Thompson, one of the two founders of ThompsonMurray of Springdale, resigned Jan. 28 from the marketing company to “pursue family priorities and business interests.”
Thompson served most recently as chief development officer for ThompsonMurray.
“My passion is to take something from no foundation to a firm foundation,” Thompson said. “I feel like we have accomplished that.”
Andy Murray will continue to serve as CEO and chairman of the company. Murray said he doesn’t plan to change the company’s name. With 85 employees, ThompsonMurray is the largest advertising and marketing firm in Northwest Arkansas.
ThompsonMurray was founded in June 1999 as a merger of Murray’s Brandworks Consulting and Thompson’s Thompson, Earnhart & Associates. After the merger, the company initially had 20 employees.
The agency’s clients now include Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Energizer, Wal-Mart and Michelin.
