The board of directors at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital recently announced the hospital’s intent to end its management relationship with Quorum Health Resources LLC of Brentwood, Tenn. On Jan. 17, the board unanimously voted to terminate the hospital’s contract. Quorum managed the city-owned hospital for 24 years.

The board voted to hire Healthcare Technology Solutions of Wiggins, Miss., to provide interim management until the hospital’s finance committee finds a permanent replacement.

In a press release, David Jackson, president of the hospital’s board, said, “Recent events have occurred that have caused the … board to lose all confidence in Quorum’s ability to manage the business side of our community hospital.”

The hospital employs 200 people and reported $660,000 in net income for the fiscal year ended March, 2000.
