The Arkansas State Golf Association is bringing its popular father-son tournament to Northwest Arkansas on June 10-11.

Travis Creed, chief operating officer for the ASGA in Little Rock, said the event will be held at both Stonebridge Meadows Golf Course in Fayetteville and the Golf Club at Valley View in Farmington. There will be four divisions with both a morning and afternoon round.

“This is easily our most sought-after spot in a golf tournament in the state of Arkansas,” Creed said. “Annually, we have a huge waiting list. Hopefully, moving to Northwest Arkansas will accommodate some people that haven’t been able to play.”

The tournament field is usually 416 players and 208 teams.

The ASGA is also looking at lining up 10 to 12 Monday tournaments for members who can compete with higher handicaps. They will be between $60-$100 each and be at what Creed said are some of the very finest courses Arkansas. An invitation has been extended to one Northwest Arkansas course and the new Big Sugar Golf Club in Pea Ridge is also being discussed as a possible site.
