On Dec. 13, C-Tech Industries Inc. of Camas, Wash., announced its wholesale distributor of pressure washer parts and accessories, Spraymart, moved into a 40,000-SF facility at 1468 E. Mountain Road in Springdale. The distribution system previously was housed in a manufacturing facility at 659 Randall Road in Springdale.

C-Tech manufactures cleaning equipment that is sold under several brand names, including Hotsy, Landa, Cuda, Tuff and Spraymart.

In a press release, company President and CEO Andy Gale said C-Tech eventually will move all of its parts-distribution programs to the Springdale facility. Springdale distribution of Landa and Hotsy parts are scheduled to begin mid-2002. Gale said the additional distribution will double the Springdale operations.

Gale told the Business Journal that C-Tech invested “several hundred-thousand dollars” in new automated equipment for the facility.

C-Tech currently is recruiting a new general manager for the Springdale distribution center, and Gale said he has interviewed several candidates from Northwest Arkansas.

The company also announced that it will expand the Tuff pressure-washer manufacturing line and move it from its existing Randall Road facility to the headquarters-manufacturing operation in Camas.

About 35 jobs in Springdale will be terminated by the relocation, according to the release, and those employees have been offered bonus packages to continue working until the jobs end on Jan. 31.
