Wesley Brown, business editor at The Morning News, plans to leave around Jan. 1 to begin work as a business reporter in Donrey Media Group’s Little Rock office. The Morning News of Springdale is owned by Las Vegas-based Donrey.

Brown will replace Tim Taylor, who recently left the Donrey bureau.

“We’re very disappointed that he’s leaving,” said Rusty Turner, managing editor of The Morning News, “but we’re happy he’s still going to be with the company, and we’ll benefit from his skill and expertise.”

Turner said the newspaper is looking for a new business editor. Kristal Dearing recently left the business desk of The Morning News to cover another beat. Brown’s departure will leave the business desk with a staff of two reporters, at least until Brown is replaced.
