According to Southwestern Energy Co.’s unaudited quarterly filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Department, the Houston-headquartered company netted $5.02 million for the three months ended Sept. 30. That’s up from a third quarter loss of $754,000 last year. For the nine months, Southwestern Energy netted $27.9 million, up from a $55.77 million loss for the comparable nine months of 2000.
Diluted earnings per share totaled 20 cents for the third quarter, up from a 3 cent loss from the same quarter last year.
