VeriSource Opens Two Regional Offices
Placing what Maddox called one “extremely high-end technology person” in each location, VeriSource has opened new offices in Harrison and Oklahoma City. Former Alltel product manager Rick Tenison is general manager of the Harrison office.
“We’ll eventually grow both of those offices,” Maddox said. “But we feel good about starting each of them with a person who has 15 to 20 years of data processing experience.”
The Oklahoma City office will primarily service InternetInns.com, which is ramping up for a national rollout that will use Cisco IP Telephony services to tie-in a network of hotel chains around the nation. VeriSource added competence in IP Telephony — which lets businesses piggyback their long-distance phone service over broadband connections and eliminate long-distance phone charges — and Wide Area Network expertise to its arsenal on July 16 with the acquisition of Platinum Technologies LLC of Bentonville.
The sum of the buyout was not disclosed, but Maddox said it should grow his firm’s annual revenue of $2.5 million by 25 percent.
Jeff Ockenbock will be general manager of the Oklahoma City branch. The firm also has a Little Rock office.
