Net Design Computer Center Inc. of Springdale is overhauling Aladdin Realtors’ Web presence.

The new vertically integrated site, or vortal, premiers Aug. 21 during the Northwest Arkansas Business Expo at Springdale’s convention center.

NDCC, founded in 1994, will have a booth at the two-day event. The professional Web-development and online-marketing firm focuses exclusively on Internet related projects.

Tim Lee, president and CEO of NDCC, wouldn’t disclose the cost of the project. But he said the revamped Web site will be worth six figures. The purpose was to create a gateway that integrated Aladdin’s database with the national Multiple Listing System. The result is expected to be a real-time listing of all available local property that will not require double entry.

Typically, local agents key in information both for the MLS and their firm’s own Web site, or a firm’s site links to the MLS. But NDCC’s team of technicians has written lengthy codes that automate that sharing of information. That will enable a prospective home buyer to conduct comprehensive queries from www.aladdinrealtors.com without having to link outside of Aladdin’s site. It streamlines the process for both buyer and agent.

Other capabilities will include e-mailable listings and photos so couples working in different offices can compare notes. The site will let surfers add listings to a virtual shopping cart, do mortgage calculations and offer local crime and pollution statistics and additional information.

Applications include allowing newcomers to the area to e-mail agents with listing numbers they’d like to view once they get here. Searches may specify amenities and preferred locations.

“Other local Web sites aren’t as organized and aggressive as Aladdin’s will be,” Lee said. “[Aladdin] decided they wanted to use the best technology available to help them sell more homes. They wanted people’s first impression of them on the Internet to be a great one.”
