Rogers technology services hotshot VeriSource LLC, which recently moved into 6,500 SF at Pinnacle Point, has acquired Platinum Technologies LLC of Bentonville for an undisclosed sum.

The deal, which closed July 16, is expected to increase VeriSource’s annual revenue of $2.5 million by 25 percent.

Platinum, founded in February, specialized in Wide Area Network solutions and was one of only two Cisco IP Telephony-certified partners in Arkansas. (Southwestern Bell is the other).

IP Telephony allows, for instance, businesses to piggy-back their long distance phone service over broadband connections from one branch office site to another. It’s a great way to eliminate the cost of long distance calls.

So along with four full-time employees and 250 clients, Platinum gives VeriSource a new high-end suite of complimentary services. VeriSource already offered application development, software programming and development, data center hosting, network engineering and PC support.

Gino Capito, formerly Platinum’s senior systems engineer, is now director of sales for VeriSource.
