Cathy and John VanWinkle recently purchased and are now operating the Blossom Hill Assisted Care Living Home in Johnson. Located on Hewitt Street, between U.S. Highway 71B and U.S. Highway 71, Blossom Hill is a 10-bed residential-care facility for elderly people who require assistance and supervision but are not ready for nursing-home care.

The VanWinkles purchased the home from Dorothy Goff, who opened the facility in late 1995.
