Jalisco Serves Mexican Businesses

Jalisco Produce Inc. opened in Springdale in March to provide produce, spices and other food products to Mexican stores and restaurants in the area.

Salvador Herrera is president of the corporation.

Gloria Herrera, office manager, said the corporation has a distributor in Dallas who imports food from Mexico and ships it to Jalisco in Springdale twice a week.

Among the goods distributed by Jalisco are tomatillos (small green tomatoes), jalapeno peppers, avocados, chayote (squash), mangos, cactus pears and bakery products.
