Local Men to Build Condos in the Sand
A trio of Northwest Arkansas businessmen are taking their show on the road, or better yet, to the beach.
Gary Brandon, Mark Marquess and Vic Evans formed Razorback Development Co., a Florida corporation, to build condominiums in Destin, Fla.
A four-story, 36-unit condominium complex will have construction begin in early summer with completion date expected by May or June of 2002. Brandon said he hopes to have 36 units sold before completion. Sixteen of the 36 condos have already sold, many purchased by Northwest Arkansas residents.
The Emerald Waters Beachside Condominiums will be located just across Old Highway 98 from Miramar Beach in Destin. They are priced anywhere from $209,000-$399,000 and come with either two or three bedrooms. They range from 1,000-1,500 SF. There will be a heated pool and spa on the premises as well as a boardwalk access to the beach. All units will have a washer and dryer and refrigerator with lots of ceramic tile both on the floors and on the balcony, Brandon said.
Brandon owns 50 percent of the company, with Marquess and Evans dividing the other 50 percent.
