Cafe Nibbles Is For Sale
Suzie Stephens and Jim Hatfield closed Cafe Nibbles on March 10 because of Hatfield’s “recent health problems.”
The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal had named the upscale restaurant the best new restaurant in the area for 2000. Stephens, a certified executive chef, opened the restaurant July 6, 1999, in a building at 3290 N. Lee Ave. that previously housed Nibbles Catering.
That building and another owned by the couple at 3274 N. Lee Ave. are for sale along with the business, which includes the catering operation. The business and real estate are listed with Bill McClard of Lindsey & Associates of Fayetteville.
Hatfield said the restaurant is well-established and recently won an award from Wine Spectator magazine.
Hatfield said the couple will continue to offer “in-house parties and selective catering” until the business sells. Executive Chef Morgan Stout will manage the operation.
Stephens will continue to operate Nibbles Food Emporium at 3184 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville. Christy’s Kitchen, another retail store, merged with Nibbles Food Emporium at that location March 1.
