Former Razorback football head coach Danny Ford sold his home in Northwest Arkansas on May 1 and moved back to his ranch in South Carolina.

Ford sold the home at 5507 Bryant Place in Springdale to Leland and Kay Novotny for $284,667. That’s almost $20,000 more than Ford paid for it in 1993. The house was appraised in 1994 for $283,000.

The 3,802-SF home was new when Ford and his wife, Deborah, bought it from Nancy Burckart. His $265,000 mortgage from McIlroy Bank & Trust of Fayetteville was due March 1 but the bank gave him a five-year extension to allow him time to sell the home.

Ford left the area after the sale and returned to his cattle ranch near Central, S.C.
