After working in other areas of the telecommunications industry, Travis Pinkerton and Clint Howle were inspired to open their own business.
“There is a lot of growth and opportunity right now in Northwest Arkansas,” Pinkerton says, “and we were tired of working for everybody else and making them the big money.”
Their company, Telemax Communications, opened April 7 and was incorporated April 20. They sell and install business telephone systems, dealing in Toshiba, Norstar, AT&T, Panasonic and several other brands of equipment. The company also specializes in voice and data cable installation.
Eventually, Pinkerton and Howle plan to expand the business to include the sale of cellular and pager equipment and service.
