Pleasant Grove Mall?

Charles Reaves, a local developer and former Sears executive, plans to build a “major retail center” at the intersection of Interstate 540 and Pleasant Grove Road in Rogers.

Reaves said he has “a couple hundred acres” at the site “with potential of 400 to 500.”

Reaves stressed that the multi-million dollar development is in the early planning stages, but he said it would likely have a “mall component and several restaurants.”

Reaves said construction could take years. The entire intersection would be developed first, with construction beginning on the southeast quadrant.

“It’s not a question of if, it’s a question of when,” he said. “I think it will become the retail center of Northwest Arkansas.”
