Oakdale Junior High to Get 10 New Classrooms

Rogers Public Schools recently purchased a building permit valued at $1.5 million to add 10 classrooms at Oakdale Junior High School.

Oakdale, which has a student enrollment of 730, is at 511 N. Dixieland Drive. Crossland Construction Co. of Rogers is the general contractor for the 18,720-SF project. Completion is expected in time for the first day of the 2001-02 school year.

Rogers High School, which has a student enrollment of 2,180, in August will be moving in to a new building on South Dixieland Avenue. The high school is currently at 1114 S. Mountie Blvd. Oakridge Builders Inc. of Springdale is the general contractor for the new high school.

Rogers is also building its 11th elementary school. The South First Street school, which will be 58,000 SF and have 25 classrooms, also will open in August. SSI Inc. of Springdale is the general contractor.
