C.D. Lounge Plans New Dickson Street Patio

By summer, a parking lot on Fayetteville’s Dickson Street will become part of a large L-shaped patio that wraps around the east side of C.D. Lounge, formerly Art’s Place on Dickson. The new patio will be next door to one of the hottest night spots in town, Jose’s Streetside. It will double the size of C.D. Lounge’s existing patio.

The private lot, which can accommodate about 20 cars, is inconvenient because it requires motorists to back out onto busy Dickson Street to leave.

Chung Lin and Jeremy Ross bought the Dickson Street Art’s Place Oct. 1 from Art Stiles. Stiles still owns Art’s Place at 2530 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville.

The new owners have already been busy making changes. Gone are four of the six pool tables. Instead, they’ve brought in more tables for dining and built a stage for live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

C.D. Lounge will open at 5 p.m. six days a week. The nightclub will serve dinner only.

Stiles owned the club for the past three years.

Ross was an employee of Stiles’ at Art’s Place on Dickson. Lin is the manager of Lin’s Chinese Restaurant in Fayetteville, where he has worked for the past 17 years (since age seven).
