OK, so what did the famous reporter do while he was in town?
Well, Bassett says, while he was with Bernstein, the two men talked and dined at Uncle Gaylord’s Mountain Cafe. Some people at the Fayetteville restaurant immediately recognized Bernstein; others did once they were introduced.
Bernstein expressed a desire to see where the Clintons had lived in Fayetteville, so Bassett took him by the house on California Boulevard where the couple lived after they were first married.
Bernstein indicated he would return, but no word yet on when that might be.
