John and Mike Charlton, co-owners of Charlton Development Co. in Bentonville, have started construction on their $3.9 million Brightwood Subdivision on Arkansas Highway 12, west of Bentonville. First Security Bank in Rogers is providing the financing for the 54-acre project.
The subdivision will feature 143 lots and homes ranging from $110,000 to $160,000 in price. Construction has begun and the first 50-lot phase will be completely developed by the end of 2000.
The company also recently refinanced three commercial properties it holds in Benton County. The $1.17 million transaction through Bank of Bentonville included a 6,500-SF office building at 1100 S.E. 22nd St. in Bentonville, the mixed-use Greenwich Center at 2840 Bella Vista Way in downtown Bella Vista and a 5,000-SF warehouse at 729 Laurel Circle in Rogers.
