Owners of a new restaurant in Northwest Arkansas wanted to combine traditional Mexican cuisine with the atmosphere of fine dining to create an experience unique to the area.

After a combined experience of about 20 years in the restaurant business, Luis Avelar and Meliton Montes opened Las Fajitas.

“Las Fajitas is the nicest Hispanic restaurant in Northwest Arkansas,” says assistant manager Norvella Freeman. Careful presentation of platters offers customers a sense of atmosphere in the restaurant, she adds.

However, the care taken to ensure a visually appealing presentation didn’t affect the reasonable prices of the meals. Daily lunch specials, priced as low as $3 each, offer almost any diner an opportunity to try the cuisine, and quick service caters to customers with short lunch breaks.

A full bar and an extensive menu of fajitas, seafood platters and traditional dishes come together for a large variety of tasty meals.

Parties and business lunch reservations can also usually be accommodated on short notice, Freeman says.
