Talk around town is that Jim Blair, retired general counsel for Tyson Foods, is building a fortress. Turns out it’s more like a sand castle.

Blair’s flamboyant new office at 1500 S. Thompson St. in Springdale does contain a 1,260-gallon salt water aquarium complete with real coral and sky lighting, (the cost of which we confirmed to be well into the five-digit range).

But the rumors of special utilities and secret parking garages, the kind that might be needed to meet security requirements for a certain future ex-president, are untrue, Blair says.

The facility does have a backup generator in case electric power is knocked out, but Blair says the only thing his office has been equipped for is “keeping the stress down.”
