An excellent local escape for business execs, sales teams and other city slickers was recently found on a family outing.
Bella Vista Riding Stables offers horseback trail rides for $15 per person, or $20 for an adult accompanied by a child age six or younger. Only 10 minutes from downtown Bentonville, the stables at 725 Manchester Drive in Bella Vista offer riders a 50-minute excursion into the Ozarks’ naturally wooded areas.
Trail rides begin on the hour Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. The stables will also schedule group hay rides for $6 per person with a 15-person minimum.
Bella Vista Riding Stables has been family owned since Alva and Arlene Lamb moved 10 horses down from Iowa in 1979 and started the business. Their son, Larry Lamb, now owns the business and may be telephoned at 501-855-1343.
