Gov. Beebe Announces 33 Appointments To Boards And Commissions
Gov. Mike Beebe (D) today announced the following appointments to boards and commissions:
Ben Barham, Cammack Village, to the State Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board. Appointment expires July 31, 2016. Replaces Charles Collett.
Diane Bryant, Farmington, to the Washington County Quorum Court, District 10. Appointment expires December 31, 2014. Replaces Mary Ann Spears.
John Burke, Coal Hill, to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District #5. Appointment expires January 14, 2016. Replaces Sheree Niece.
Dr. Timothy Chase, Monticello, to the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners. Appointment expires September 1, 2018. Replaces Drew Toole.
Ricky Davis, El Dorado, reappointed to the Arkansas Manufactured Home Commission. Appointment expires September 1, 2018.
Brenda DeShields, Centerton, to the Electronic Recording Commission. Appointment expires September 1, 2015. Replaces Pat O’Brien.
The Honorable Stephanie Flowers, Pine Bluff, to the Early Intervention Interagency Coordinating Council. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. Replaces The Honorable Johnny Key.
Gregg Gardner, Lake City, to the Boll Weevil Eradication Committee. Appointment expires July 1, 2013. Replaces Kenneth Qualls.
Bill Green, Cabot, reappointed to the Residential Building Contractors Committee. Appointment expires October 1, 2016.
Leo Hauser, Little Rock, to the Arkansas Alternate Energy Commission. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. Replaces Stanley Baker.
Edward Holcomb, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Coalition for Juvenile Justice. Appointment expires August 15, 2016.
Tabetha Holmes, Lowell, to the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. This is a new position.
Bruce Jones, Conway, to the Medical Ionizing Radiation Licensure Committee. Appointment expires July 14, 2016. Replaces Evonne Butler.
Louis “Bucky” Jones, Jr., Fayetteville, reappointed to the Crime Victims Reparations Board. Appointment expires October 15, 2017.
Phil Kaplan, Little Rock, reappointed as Chair of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission. Appointment expires September 1, 2017.
Dewight Mack, Kirby, reappointed to the Arkansas Manufactured Home Commission. Appointment expires September 1, 2018.
Gregory McKinney, M.D., Maumelle, to the Arkansas Athletic Commission. Appointment expires July 15, 2015. Replaces Scott Worth.
Shirley Montgomery, Conway, reappointed to the Arkansas Manufactured Home Commission. Appointment expires September 1, 2018.
Cynthia Moten, Arkadelphia, to the Vision 2025 Legislative Commission on the Future of Higher Education. Appointment expires January 1, 2017. This is a new position.
Barbara O’Connor, Springdale, to the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. This is a new position.
Derrick Person, Newport, reappointed to the Professional Bail Bondsman Licensing Board. Appointment expires September 30, 2020.
Robert Redfern, Danville, to the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy. Appointment expires August 17, 2018. Replaces Gene Cogbill.
Robert “Gregg” Reep, Warren, to the University of Arkansas at Monticello Board of Visitors. Appointment expires July 31, 2016. Replaces Carlton Davis.
Donnie Reid, Kirby, to the Pike County Quorum Court, District 5. Appointment expires December 31, 2014. Replaces John Garrett.
Dr. Kenneth Sauer, Little Rock, to the Alzheimer’s Advisory Council. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. Replaces Cathey Griffin.
Mark Saviers, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Biosciences Institute Board. Appointment expires October 1, 2017.
Joseph “Ryan” Smith, Little Rock, to the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. This is a new position.
Sharon Smith, Hot Springs, reappointed to the Arkansas Coalition for Juvenile Justice Board. Appointment expires August 15, 2016.
Stacey Valley, North Little Rock, to the State Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board. Appointment expires July 31, 2015. Replaces Karen Fullen.
Thomas “Mike” Verkler, Cabot, to the Lonoke County Quorum Court, District 8. Appointment expires December 31, 2014.
Belinda Wells, Monticello, to the State Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board. Appointment expires July 31, 2015. Replaces Elizabeth Russiero.
