Windstream Promotes Four To New Roles

Windstream Corp. has announced the following promotions and appointments:

Mark Todd has been promoted to senior vice president of carrier relations. Mary Michaels has been promoted to vice president of investor relations and capital markets, and Chris Raper has been promoted to vice president of consumer analytics. Additionally, Ankur Sharma has been named vice president of digital technology.

Todd has been with the company since 2001 and vice president of financial operations since August 2009. Before that, he was Windstream’s director of external reporting and revenue accounting and a staff manager for Alltel. Prior to joining the company, he was a senior auditor with Arthur Andersen. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Michaels has been with Windstream since 2000 and has been director of investor relations and capital markets since February 2006. Before that, she was staff manager of financial planning and staff manager of capital markets at Alltel. Prior to joining the company, she worked as a bond broker for Cantor Fitzgerald and Liberty EurAsia.

Raper has been with the company since 1995 and has been a director in the consumer marketing organization since 2008 with responsibility for management of access lines, competitive intelligence, data analytics and financial performance. Before that, he was a staff manager of business development. Prior to joining Windstream, he held various positions with Alltel, 360 Communications and Sprint Cellular.

Sharma, formerly vice president of e-commerce and software engineering for Time Warner Cable, has been hired to fill the new position of vice president of digital technology. Sharma will be responsible for all of Windstream’s portals and execution of Windstream’s portal strategy. Before joining Time Warner Cable in 2011, Sharma held various management positions with Plymouth Rock Corp. and Priceline.com.

All are based in Little Rock.
