Talk Business Launches New Education Blog: Campus Talk
Talk Business is introducing a new blog to our web site.
“Campus Talk” will feature a variety of education news and analysis from around the state from the pre-K level to higher education and beyond.
With nearly 70% of the state budget dedicated to education in Arkansas, we feel this blog can be an important conduit for news of the day, analysis of routine and watershed reports, interviews with newsmakers in the field of education and education policy, and stories that focus on innovation in and around the classrooms and campuses of this state. Occasionally, we may deem a national story to be of importance to this new blog's readers.
For our existing political and business readers, we know that education issues and news can be an important focus of your time, money and attention. Elected officials and business leaders are profoundly aware of the relationship between education and economic advancement in the state — which is one reason for launching this new blog.
We also feel that there will be significant policy debates in the coming months and years that will reshape and influence Arkansas' education system at many different levels.
Often, this news doesn't fit neatly in either our “Talk Business” or “Talk Politics” blogs. Thus, the new site — how to use flash on ipad

We also feel there is a larger audience out there that cares about education issues, but may not want to sift through the other political and business news of the day.
Out of the gate, Talk Business will feature enterprise reports and consolidated news from our many content partners on the subject of education. Additional contributors will be incorporated into the site in time.
For now, please be patient as we listen to the many voices on the education frontier. We will seek to provide input and opinions from a variety of sources — conservative, liberal, moderate, progressive and varying degrees of all of these — and we'll experiment from time to time with some of our features.
In the coming weeks, we hope to hear from those of you who are shaping education policy in Arkansas, so feel free to share your comments and thoughts. As always, your input is very welcome and critical to developing this new blog.
