Baptist Health Launches 3-year Capital Campaign
Baptist Health System will undergo major renovations on its main Little Rock campus to the tune of $110 million as part of a new capital campaign launched on Wednesday.
The three-year fundraising project will raise money to expand operating rooms, create all-private patient care rooms, provide a facelift for its front-door atrium, new escalators in its mezzanine, enhanced security and a renovated dining area.
Baptist Health officials said that the $110 million overhaul will be largely funded by the capital campaign, but the hospital system will also seek federal grant money for some aspects of the costs.
The move comes as other hospital competitors in Pulaski County – UAMS and St. Vincent’s – eye west Little Rock locations for expansion. Baptist currently operates several clinics west of its I-630 main campus.
