Five Arkansans Find Their Way To Federal Reserve Boards

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis has been busy putting Arkansans in a position of prominence.

Last week, 5 Arkansans were named to different boards within the Fed’s St. Louis region.

Cal McCastlain, a partner with Little Rock-based law firm Dover Dixon Horne PLLC was elected to the St. Louis Fed’s board of directors for a three-year term ending December 31, 2013. McCastlain is also the owner of E Pluribus Land Co., LLC, and is a member of the board of directors of Agricultural Council of Arkansas and the Quapaw Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Three Arkansans were also named to the Fed’s Little Rock Branch board of directors. They include:

Michael A. Cook, vice president and assistant treasurer of Bentonville-based Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.  Cook was appointed to the board of directors of the Little Rock Branch for a three-year term ending December 31, 2013. Cook is also a member of the Association for Financial Professionals and serves on the board of advisors of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Council.

Ray C. Dillon, president and CEO of Deltic Timber Corp. of El Dorado.  Dillon fulfills an unexpired term ending December 31, 2011. Dillon is also a member of the board of directors of the American Forest & Paper Association, the National Alliance of Forest Landowners, the Arkansas Forestry Association, the Associated Industries of Arkansas, and the Arkansas Research Alliance.

Kaleybra Mitchell Morehead, vice president for College Affairs/Institutional Advancement at Southeast Arkansas College in Pine Bluff. Morehead was reappointed to the Little Rock Fed board for a three-year term ending December 13, 2013 and will serve as chair in 2011. Morehead is a member of the Arkansas Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee and serves as chair of the board of directors of the Greater Pine Bluff Chamber of Commerce.

Also, Mark P. Fowler, vice chairman of Liberty Bank of Arkansas in Jonesboro was appointed to the board of directors of the Memphis Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Fowler’s three-year term ends December 31, 2013. Fowler is president and director of Liberty Bancshares, Inc., a member of the board of directors of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, a member of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Chancellor’s Circle, and a member of the Arkansas State University Chancellor’s Cabinet.
