TEDxHendrixCollege Event Slated For Feb. 22
Hendrix College will host a TEDx series on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 1-4 p.m. at Worsham Hall in the Student Life and Technology Center on the school’s Conway campus.
TEDx events are local conferences where themes and ideas are explored by a variety of speakers from different backgrounds. One of the purposes of the events ties into the mission of TED programming, which promotes “ideas worth spreading.”
Presentations are short – typically under 18 minutes – and include a variety of thought leaders in fields including art, technology, performance, and big and small ideas.
This particular TEDxHendrixCollege event will center on the theme “Origins” and will include a variety of national speakers as well as Hendrix College alumni.
Talk Business & Politics host Roby Brock, a Hendrix graduate, will emcee the event.

- Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Doug Blackmon
- Former President/CEO of Heifer International Jo Luck
- Art Educator Meg Bourne-Hulsey
- Musician Dana Falconberry
- Editor of Science Times for The New York Times David Corcoran
- Northwestern University Professor of Psychology Dan P. McAdams
- Hendrix College President Bill Tsutsui
- UAMS Researcher/Educator Leanne Whiteside-Mansell
- Hendrix College student Chirag Lala
Space is limited. Registration is free for current Hendrix students and $15 per person for other attendees.
