Tolbert: Yet Another Poll Shows GOP Leading
This headline is growing repetitive, but yet another poll is out today showing Republicans leading in the race for U.S. Senate, Governor, and Attorney General. The poll was conducted by Gravis Marketing – a rather unimpressive but Democratic-leaning poll firm. However, the number fits with most previously released polls on the Senate and Governor‘s race.
In the Senate race…
Republican Tom Cotton 47%
Democrat Mark Pryor 43%
Libertarian Nathan LaFrance 2%
Unsure 8%
In the Governor’s race…
Republican Asa Hutchinson 46%
Democrat Mike Ross 42%
Libertarian Frank Gilbert 2%
Unsure 10%
And for Attorney General…
Republican Leslie Rutledge 42%
Democrat Nate Steel 33%
Libertarian Aaron Cash 3%
Unsure 22%
The poll found 60% of Arkansans surveyed disapprove of President Obama’s job performance compared to 33% who approve.
Also out today, Democrats are pushing a poll commissioned by Southern Progress – a group whose website says they are committed to “establishing a Democratic stronghold in the South” and “build an echo chamber for Democrats.” This Democratic Party group managed to find small leads for Senate and Attorney General and a tied Governor’s race.
