The Red Shoe Shindig presents a Night at the Oscars

We are rolling out the red carpet for this year’s “Red Shoe Shindig presents a Night at the Oscars” benefitting the Ronald McDonald Family Room® at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Starlight Ballroom by MovieLounge. This premiere event will be capping ticket sales at 300, so get them before it is sold out!  Nominees are encouraged to wear their Oscar-worthy red shoes to this black tie optional, star-studded shindig.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. in Do South’s Red Shoe Lounge where guests will be greeted by specialty cocktails and the music of the Fort Smith Symphony Orchestra String quartet.  At 7:30 p.m., the dining room will open for a sit down dinner prepared by Chef Steven Brooks of Cooking Today on KNWA. Following a short program emceed by special guest, Rossi Morreale, a live auction will feature fabulous trips, fun events, jewelry from Newton’s Jewelers and more. The Lights, Camera, After Party, sponsored by Glidewell Distributing, will immediately follow.

All proceeds from the Red Shoe Shindig go directly to the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Fort Smith. The family room is a place of respite inside the hospital for parents of hospitalized newborns and children. It offers four rooms for daytime napping or overnight sleeping, bathrooms with showers, a kitchen with meals prepared daily, a television room, a library with computer, laundry facilities and more.  Since it’s opening in December 2010, there have been nearly 2200 families served at the family room.
