Free HR Basics for Business Workshop

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center presents “HR Basics for Business” on May 19 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at SPMI in Van Buren.  No matter how many employees a business has, human resources management is a BIG part of every business.  When dealing with HR, what you don’t know can hurt your business. Tammy Barthel, SPHR, will discuss topics such as staffing, equal employment opportunity, risk management, labor relations, employee retention, and the cost of turnover. Working with contractors, OSHA, and federal employment laws such as FSLA and ACA will also be highlighted.  There is no fee to attend thanks to SPMI, but seating is limited and registration is required to attend at 356-2067 or http://asbtdc.org/training/russellville-events.
