Discovering Nature’s Visual Treasures en Plein Air: Workshop by Ron Rencher

by  () 97 views

In this class, you will discover the treasures nature has to offer the visual artist by looking past the details. When the details are omitted we are more likely to express our impressions of nature in a more poetic way. The visual poetry is there, we simply have to allow ourselves to feel it and see it.

There will be instructor demonstrations, lectures, group critiques and a lot of individual attention in this class. Be prepared to come away from this class with more confidence and inspiration!

Students will become familiar with the principles of design and how to utilize them in creating a work of art on location: various visual concepts will be discussed, and how to interpret the landscape through conceptualization.

This workshop will take place March 4 – 6, 2015, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm each day. Cost for this workshop is $375 for RAM members and $400 for non-members. For more information visit fsram.org.
