5K Tutu Run Benefitting Western Arkansas Ballet

Western Arkansas Ballet will host its inaugural 5K Tutu Run Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 8:00 AM. The race will begin at the large playground at Ben Geren Park. Walkers and runners are welcome in this chip-timed event. There will be awards for the top three male and female runners in each age division. A finisher’s medal will be awarded to all participants.
A prize will also be awarded for the best tutu. Although a tutu is not required, it is recommended for lots of fun.
Funds raised by the 5K Tutu Run will benefit Western Arkansas Ballet, a nonprofit dance studio in Fort Smith. The mission of Western Arkansas Ballet is to create a community dedicated to the Fine Arts through quality dance education, training, and performance.
Register at www.tuturun.eventbrite.com or at the Western Arkansas Ballet studio (located at 4701 Grand Avenue, Fort Smith). Pre-registration is $25. Registration the day of the race is $35. All participants registered by December 26, 2014 will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt.
