The CCHEC is being revamped and reintroduced to the community. The updated CCHEC mission statement is to improve the well-being of Crawford County residents through partnership, education, and awareness. The vision is “Living healthy, happy, sober, and drug-free in Crawford County.” The Crawford County Health Education Coalition is a group of interested community members, public and private organizations, health care providers and businesses who are involved in addressing the unique needs of our community.
Upon initial discussions, CCHEC has elected to set their focus on helping adolescent and youth population. The number one issue to be addressed is substance abuse, followed by mental health issues and lack of education. The Coalition has a goal of serving the community as a free resource that can bring education and prevention to our county’s youth and families.
This is a family event with food, door prizes, and games – free of charge! For more information, contact Laura Decanter at 479-471-0019 or Tammy Biggs 479-474-4584.
