RAM Art Camp

The RAM Art Camp will take place this summer Tuesday July 22 – Saturday 26, 2014, from 1 – 5 PM and will include classes for children ages 4 through 13.
 
The younger children (recommended for ages 4-6) will enjoy IT’S AN ART pARTy! that will introduce them to art through viewing and talking about art and the exhibitions on view, scavenger hunts, interactive games, drawing, painting, storytelling and other fun and educational hands-on activities.
Cost for IT’S AN ART pARTy! – $10 per one-hour session
(Recommended for ages 4-6)

The older students (recommended for ages 7-13) will enjoy PAPER MAKING FUN that will be 5 days of paper making where they will learn to make their own book inspired by the art on view! This is a progressive course so all five days is strongly recommended. All sessions are taught by professional art educators.
Cost for PAPER MAKING FUN

$10 a day/$50 for the week
Tuesday July 22 – Saturday  July 26 
(we strongly recommend students sign up for the entire week)
1PM – 5PM daily
July 22 and 23: 2 days of papermaking

July 24: 1 day to iron and prepare hand made paper

July 25: 1 day stack book pages and book covers in place, pick string out for binding and if time nail holes (depending on age)

July 26 – Last day: sew book together – simple book binding for younger children (up to 2nd grade) and stab book binding method for older children (up to 12-13 years old).
