Kelly Kemp-McLintock, former chief advancement officer at the Jones Center in Springdale and a consultant for the Peel Compton Foundation in Bentonville, has been named executive director of the Bentonville Library Foundation.
The foundation on Monday (June 29) announced the hiring, noting that Kemp-McLintock has nearly 25 years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience to the job.
As a consultant for the Peel Compton Foundation, she led the 150th Anniversary Year Endowment Campaign to ensure the preservation efforts of the Peel Museum and Botanical Garden.
Prior to that work, she was chief advancement officer for almost 20 years at The Jones Center/Jones Trust in Springdale where she raised nearly $50 million. The fundraising tally includes closing a $30 million endowment campaign that expanded the organization’s long-term financial sustainability and community impact.
Kemp-McLintock also worked for 15 years as a regional news anchor for KFSM 5News.
She was awarded Outstanding Fundraising Executive in 2014 by the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and in 2016, a top “Women in Business” by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal. She’s been a multi-decade member of the Rotary Club in Springdale and was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kelly and her expertise as we enter an exciting new chapter for the Foundation,” Steve Galen, board president of the Bentonville Library Foundation, said in a statement. “With a focus on building long-term endowment support, Kelly will help ensure the Bentonville Public Library has dedicated resources in perpetuity to support lifelong learning and community enrichment.”
Founded in 2003, the Bentonville Library Foundation was established when the community sought to raise private funds for a new library facility located at 405 S. Main St. The foundation’s mission is to provide philanthropic support to the library by investing in resources that create opportunities for lifelong learning and elevate the library as a community gathering place for all.
