Fast-casual restaurant Goodcents recently opened a 2,740-square-foot shop at 3061 N. College Ave. It’s the third Goodcents location in Arkansas, with others in Bentonville and El Dorado.
Business owners Cory and Lyndsy Jacobs operate the new sandwich shop. The owners declined to say how much they invested in opening the shop. It has 15 staff.
“Fayetteville is an amazing community, and we truly felt that people here deserved the chance to enjoy the Goodcents experience the way our family does,” Cory said.
According to a news release, the Jacobs family “fell in love with Goodcents in Lyndsy’s hometown of Springfield, Mo., and decided to bring it home to Arkansas.” The brand is known for “its signature, pillowy-soft Founder’s Pride bread.”
De Soto, Kan.-based Goodcents was established in 1989. It was initially founded in Lenexa, Kan., and known as Mr. Goodcents Subs and Pastas. Goodcents has more than 60 locations in 10 states.
“For over 35 years, Goodcents has been dedicated to setting ourselves apart with our proprietary Founder’s Pride bread and fresh, high-quality ingredients,” said Joe Bisogno, founder and CEO of Goodcents.
“Expanding our footprint in Arkansas, especially with passionate franchisees like the Jacobs at the helm, is an exciting step forward that reinforces our commitment to bringing the Goodcents tradition to more communities.”
