Rogers-based retail sales agency Harvest Group said Tuesday (April 14) that it has acquired Cartograph, an Austin, Texas-based Amazon agency known for its performance marketing capabilities and support for emerging brands. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to a news release, the acquisition is Harvest Group’s largest and expands its scale, team and impact within the Amazon ecosystem. Founded in 2017 by Chris Moe, Cartograph is recognized for its client service, operational excellence, and Amazon knowledge, including helping emerging brands grow from launch to scale. The addition of Cartograph will approximately double the size of Harvest Group’s Amazon business and team.
Founded in 2006, Harvest Group has more than 400 employees globally and works with brands at major retailers including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, Amazon, Costco and Kroger. Before the acquisition, Harvest Group had over 250 employees with offices in Rogers, Cincinnati and Minneapolis.
“I have gotten to know Chris over the last five years,” said Ross Cully, CEO of Harvest Group. “What he has built at Cartograph is unique in the digital commerce ecosystem. … As momentum continues to grow for digital commerce, bringing together Cartograph and Harvest Group improves the ability of both companies to provide the integrated commerce and media solutions our clients need in today’s market.”
According to the press release, the acquisition brings together Harvest Group’s full-service, integrated approach designed for brands across growth stages and Cartograph’s ability to help emerging brands scale on Amazon.
“Joining Harvest Group is an exciting next chapter for Cartograph,” Moe said. “We’ve always been focused on delivering strong results for our clients through deep Amazon expertise and operational excellence. Partnering with Harvest Group allows us to build on that foundation, expand our impact, and create even greater opportunities for our clients and team.”
Harvest Group recently announced a growth investment from Denver-based Mountaingate Capital. The investment followed the exit of Little Rock-based Natural Capital as a Harvest Group investor. The investment amounts of both companies were not disclosed.
