Bobby Don James

Bobby Don James, 64 of Fort Smith passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in a local hospital. He worked at Baldor Electric in Fort Smith and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Desert Storm Era and a proud B.A.C.A. member. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Patricia (Smith) James.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Mayhall) James of the home; one daughter, Nikita Thomas-James; one sister, Sissy Files; two brothers, Frank and Gerald James; seven grandchildren, Brittney Brown (Dylan), Daniel Thomas (Renee), Jaycee Weaver (Brandon), Caden Cook (Madison), Erin Jordan (Harley), Natalie and Alyssa Thomas; seven great grandchildren, Summer & Kayleigh Smith, Gage Hollan, Braylee Brown, CeeCee Cook, Rowan & Ridge Jordan.

Memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
