Robert Lee “Don” Chancellor, 90, entered into Heaven on Monday, December 15, 2025, at his home in Rudy, Arkansas. Don was born on September 19, 1935, to the late Clarence and Ruth Chancellor in Mulberry, Arkansas.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Carolyn Sparks, to whom he was married for 33 years, and by his brother, Jack Chancellor. He later married Mary Lois Ming on August 5, 2000, who was by his side at home when he passed.

Don graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri, in May 1959. After graduating, Don was drafted into the Army where he served for two years. He retired from General Dynamics/Hughes as a Quality Assurance Engineer in 1998 after 31 years of service. Don also worked for the Montclair Police Records Department for 6 years.

Don was gifted with the ability to do almost anything—from building television sets from scratch and refinishing furniture to home repairs and building playhouses for his grandchildren. He also enjoyed cooking for family and friends, especially his famous macaroni and cheese. Don deeply loved his children and grandchildren. He especially cherished spending time with his grandchildren, whether playing outside with them, cooking together, riding around the yard on a golf cart, or proudly attending their sporting events. A lover of photography, Don always had a camera nearby to capture special moments.

Don faithfully attended Butterfield Church in Van Buren, Arkansas. Prior to attending Butterfield with his family and grandchildren, he served as a deacon at Dora First Assembly of God Church in Dora, Arkansas.

Don is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Lois Chancellor, of the home; one son, Robert Chancellor and wife Laura of Olympia, Washington; three daughters, Lois Stogsdill of Newnan, Georgia, Mitzi Herrera and husband Jim of Montclair, California, and Sheila Crawford and husband Chuck of Newnan, Georgia; and two stepsons, Danny Ming and wife Glenda of Alma, Arkansas, and Darron Ming and wife Mandy of Van Buren, Arkansas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 18th at Butterfield Church in Van Buren, Arkansas, with burial to follow in New Cemetery in Mulberry, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Crow, Lester Peters, Brandon Ming, Jamie Blevins, Mike Stephenson, Jerry Smith and Brian Nye.

The family will visit with friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, AR 72956.
