Windsor Door completed its $2 million strut line investment expansion to speed production and delivery of garage doors, the company announced Tuesday (Nov. 18).

Since Windsor Door’s production line came online in mid-October at its Little Rock headquarters, the residential and commercial garage door manufacturer has doubled production, reduced material and enhanced performance across its full product line’s most popular models.

The upgraded line manufactures steel supports, known as struts, that reinforce garage doors. These struts improve durability for everyday use and high-wind conditions.

“Dealers and installers count on Windsor Door for dependable products and supply,” said Windsor Door President Bob Strahan. “This investment is a testament to our commitment to strengthening those partnerships and continuing to build futures together.”

The project introduced two-inch and three-inch strut mills with computer-guided controls that ensure precise, consistent production. Since installation, two-inch output has tripled and three-inch output has doubled, allowing Windsor Door to respond to demand more quickly while maintaining quality. Producing these components in-house removes freight costs and shortens delivery times for customers.

This investment supports Windsor Door’s broader growth strategy through technology and U.S. manufacturing.

At its 200,000-square-foot headquarters, Windsor Door completed a $21 million high-speed production line in 2024, increasing capacity by 150%, doubling local steel purchases and contributing to affordable-housing initiatives. Another $12 million legacy line, scheduled for completion in early 2026, will expand output further, create additional jobs and strengthen the supply chain.
