Thomas Dell Smith

Thomas Dell Smith, 81, of Mansfield, Arkansas passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 in his home. He was born February 9, 1944 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Dave and Mary (Phelps) Smith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Smith; one son, Darrell Smith; one daughter, Katherine Swindell; four brothers, Ralph Smith, Pat Smith, Charles Smith and Ronnie Smith; two sisters, Canna-Lou Ballance and Linda Russell; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, September 18 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Viewing will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday before the service.
